There’s a lot of talk these days about chief digital officers (CDOs), the executives an increasing number of companies are hiring to catalyze and coordinate their digital strategies across channels and lines of business. Executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates saw the number of search requests for CDOs in the U.S. and Europe spike nearly 33 percent in 2012. Gartner Inc. predicts that by 2015, 25 percent of organizations will have a chief digital officer.”
