Kristi Balazy currently leads the development and execution of media strategy for multiple Discovery Communications networks, including Investigation Discovery, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, Destination America, American Heroes Channel, and Discovery Fit & Health. In this role, she has executed on and off air media plans and partnerships for all key promotables on the networks, including Tyler Perry’s Haves and Have Nots, Lindsay, Surviving Evil, Swamp Murders, and Scorned. She also manages Discovery Media’s external agency partners, ICON, OMD, Spot On, Millenia 3, and OMA.

Since joining Discovery in 2006, Ms. Balazy has led media plan development on a broad range of networks including Discovery Channel and Science Channel. She was instrumental in the biggest and most innovative campaigns at that time, including the use of augmented reality for Deadliest Catch, and the first competitive on-air integration with ESPN as part of Summer X Games sponsorship for Shark Week, and the launch of Oprah’s Next Chapter, and Iyanla, Fix My Life.
